SUPER BOWL THOUGHTS:

Pregame: Faith Hill is easy on the eyes and ears. Jennifer Hudson’s singing of “The Star-Spangled Banner” was spine-tingling. Good to see “Sully” and his Flight 1549 crew get much love. Grade: A

Game: Highly entertaining, despite being a bit ragged (I think an official just threw another flag). Several plays instantly rank among the very best in Super Bowl history. Grade: A-

Springsteen: Predictable, but an energetic and entertaining set.
Grade: B

Commercials: One of the weakest groups in my memory. E*Trade (talking babies) was my top favorite for the second year in a row.
Grade: C-
